Mawulikem Lobo (Likem) Age: 13 years Date of Birth: 2/18/1995 Village: Abutia Agorve
Special Interests: Likem loves football (soccer) and school. His favorite subject is English. He would love to learn how to use the computer. He also enjoys singing and dancing. Likem is currently in Class 3 equivalent to 3rd grade. His favorite subject is English. He doesn't quite know what he wants to be when he grows up.
History: Likem, along with his little brother Sammy were brougt into the orphanage by their Uncle Botsyo Mawutor. Their father was dead and their mother was too sick to take care of them.
Peace Kafui Ama Dorkas Tsorme (Peace) Age: 9 years Date of Birth: 9/8/1998 Village: Ho
Special Interests: Peace enjoys cooking and learning English, Science and Math. She also enjoys singing and dancing. Peace would like to go to University in America to become a bank manager.
History: Peace and her sister Enyonam were brought to the orphanage in 2006 Both their mother and father passed away the same month and were buried the same day in 2003.
Elolo Kuaku Prosper Soga Age: 6 years Date of Birth: 2/26/2002 Village: Adaklu Abuadi
Special Interests: Elolo enjoys reading and his ABCs. He loves to play with all the children, especially if he gets to be in charge. Elolo is curently in his first year of Kindergarten. He wants to be a doctor when he grows up.
History: After Elolo's father died, his mother was unable to take care of him and gave him and his sister to his grandmother. The grandmother who was blind, neglected Elolo to the degree of near starvation. The chief of his village received word of this starving boy and collected him and took him to the orphanage in March of 2006. Elolo was not expeced to live, but with the love and nurishment from all of those around him, he is now an energetic and playful boy.
Sika Ama Dotse Age: 9 years Date of Birth: 11/9/1999 Village: Hodzo
Special Interests: Anku loves to learn and play games. She is currently in Class 2 equivalent to 2nd grade. She would like to attend University in Accra to become a nurse.
History: Sika was brought to the orphanage by her grandfather because her mother could not take care of her due to her mental illness. They do not know who her father is.
Edem Ampofo Age: 9 years Date of Birth: 8/6/1998 Village: Sokode Bagble
Special Interests: Edem likes to cook, write and sing. She is currently in K2 equivalent to 2nd year of Kindergarten. Edem wants to be a nurse when she grows up.
History: Edem was brought to the orphanage 12/20/03 after her father shot her mother and then shot himself over a quarrel about fish for dinner.
Edwin Kosi Edrolla Age: 11 years Date of Birth: 6/11/1996 Village: Adaklu-Waya
Special Interests: Edwin loves football (soccer) and learning. He wants to go to University in America to become a lawyer.
History: Edwin's mother is mentally insane so his grandmother took care of him for a while and was no longer able to so she brought him to the orphanage.
Makafui Donkor Age: 14 years Date of Birth: 2/6/1994 Village: Ho-Dome
History: Makafui's mother died immediately after childbirth an her father died when she was 1 year old. Her Uncle cared for her until she was brought to the orphanage in 2003
Romeo Nunyuie Age: 15 years Date of Birth: 11/2/1992 Village: Ho-Dome
Special Interests: Romeo loves football (soccer), druming and dancing. He enjoys school and likes Math, Science and English. He is currently in Class 6 equivalent to 6th grade. Romeo wants to go to Polly Tech. in Ho to become a teacher.
History: Romeo's mother died when he was 3 and his father died when he was 5. Romeo arrived at the orphanage in 2003.
